This probably sounds like crazy talk to people from other states, but Chicago politics really do fuck up the laws for the rest of our state. It’s such a big city, yet the vast majority of IL is rural and suburban. I don’t necessarily think that making Chicago it’s own state is the answer, but I think a lot more law decisions should be determined at the city or county level. It’s unfair to impose the same laws on us country folk.
