I’m really not a fan of people that sit right next to me in a fast food place. There are many seats available in this Dairy Queen, but these to older gents decided to sit right next to me in the long both with several tables at it. I guess I have a problem with closeness and the space surrounding me. The molecules about me are being infected with old person smell. “The old people smell makes you wanna puke in the sink”- Boombox, Incredibad(THe lonely island).
I hate when this type of thing happens in its many forms. Movie theatres are another annoying place for this to happen. Public transit. Waiting rooms. Urinals. Parking lots. I don’t think people really do it to intentionally make anyone mad or uncomfortable. It still suprises me that they do not value privacy and personal space as much as I do.
I am kind of like this about open/closed doors, as well. When I was a kid, I always thought it was wierd when I would stay the night at people’s house and they would sleep with their bedroom door open. If I am sleeping in a room with a door, I really need it shut to be comfortable. I don’t know, maybe that’s different than the personal space thing.
