The notion of guns in houses

fucking terrifies me.

My old house had enough guns in it to stop the upcoming zombie apocalypse.  Try sleeping with that thought in your mind.

Before I got my gun, I would wake up in the middle of the night thinking I heard a noise downstairs. I would go to the edge of the stairs, and just sit there for sometimes over an hour and wonder, “Am I being paranoid? Was that a footstep? Do they have a knife? Do they have a gun? Is there more than one of them?”. This used to keep me awake for several hours at least once every couple weeks. As soon as I got a gun, I was able to sleep tight.

But was I being too paranoid? A month ago, a couple bocks over there were two robberies where the people were held at gun point for over an hour, while the robbers ransacked their house, stole their tvs, computers, and car. I’ll bet you a $100 those weren’t registered guns. The fact is, houses get broken into in my neighborhood all the time. Zombies might be being a little paranoid.

Even if it were illegal, I would still have my gun. The only difference is that in protecting myself, I would be breaking a law, and that my gun would not be registered with the state. Meaning, I could use it to kill someone and they could not track it.

There are too many wolves in the world for the lambs to go unprotected.
