I’ll agree 120% on this.  I HATE Escalades, I HATE Hummers (we have several that drive around in town) and I just hate all forms of SUVs.

I totally agree that Hummers are a giant waste of energy and money. Even though Even though there are much more fuel efficient SUVs , my Trailblazer gets notably better gas mileage than some of my cars have, and I have room to carry a lot more stuff in it. I thought about getting a van to serve this purpose, but the gas mileage wasn’t much better, most vans cost more,  and I use my 4wheel drive a lot.
Trucks and SUVs can be very practical cars for people that have a use for them. I think the important thing is to find an renewable energy source.
