Humans aren’t that bad.

I was just responding in an email to a fellow Tumblrer’s post about PETA and it got me thinking. I get pretty irritated hearing about how bad humans are for the earth and how we fucked it all up. Humans are a natural occurring part of the earth as much as any other plant, animal, mineral , element, ect. *We didn’t just come here all of the sudden to fuck shit up. Sure, humans have done some damage over the years, but until recently we didn’t know any better. I have confidence that we will invent “greener” methods of conducting our daily business in time to correct this. All that earlier damage was done in the name of progress. Progress that will likely one day save this earth, or at least some of its inhabitants. Eventually a giant meator or astroid will be on a collision course with this planet. Kiss all your pretty rain forests and sexy icecaps goodbye, if planet killer hits us. Humans would be the ONLY change of stoping that from happening or rescuing some life from the planet.

For the record I am all about developing renewable energies and endoing our dependancy on fossil fuels.
