for whatever reason, i found this map to be the most interesting one.
i wonder how long ill say “pop” since im now living in “soda” territory.

Wow. My little midwest “soda” section is smack dab in the middle of pop/Coke country! It used to annoy me when people said “pop”, but now I kinda like it. It is a more whimsical term than soda.
I really can’t stand when people say Coke. Coke is a brand name and not at all interchangeable with other colas. If I say I want a Kleenex, I really don’t give a fuck whether you hand me a Kleenex, Puffs, or any other brand. Same with Aspirin, Band-Aid, Velcro, Zipper, or Heroin (That’s right. Heroin is a trademark of Bayer). If I order a Diet Pepsi, on the other hand, I’d be pissed if they brought me Diet Coke.
I’m surprised there is no section for “cola”. I guess I rarely hear anyone ask for a cola, but it seems like a perfectly acceptable alternative. Definitely more accurate than Coke.  Haha. When I hear cola, I think of Officer Favra from Super Troopers, though.
