I have felt that way since the first time that I saw it. You have to love the weird irony though, right? I mean a television network stole your idea.

I have always felt that watermarks were distracting and unnecessary.

i gotta kinda disagree. i have had a BUNCH of people ask me if Cody was available to take pictures for $$$, because of the pictures on my Myspace. i really dont think they would have inquired had it not been for the CW stamp. i see a lot of photos out there with watermarks on them. i mean, if you are getting paid for the pictures, then sure, leave it off.  if you are doing freebie (read: PROMOTIONAL) stuff, i think it is important to let people know where they can go to find more. to GET more.
